Rain

It has rained non-stop today. Real rain, not the usual fine mist. I had to go out several times, to collect vegetables from the garden (asparagus for lunch and spinach and herbs to go in the pasta sauce for this evening), to replenish the waxeyes’ sugar water, and to keep moving the sprinkler on the very dry places under the dense wattles.

I did not want to take a camera out so I took this shot of apple blossom with my phone, which is protected by a waterproof jacket.

For the first time in weeks I lit the fire.
