Fun and Games at Rookery Nook

It seems that a Rook's idea of a good time is
.........1) find a tree with less branches than participants
.........2) fly around it for about ten seconds
.........3) try to land on one of the branches
.........4) when you can't -  try to knock someone else off
.........5) when you really can't find one or knock someone else off - go and sit on the nearby hedge by yourself
.........6) the remainder must sit on the branches making lots of mocking noises at the one on the hedge for two minutes.
........7) all take off ( including the singleton) and fly round the tree for about 30 seconds and repeat from step 3.......again and again and again and again.........quite a bizarre spectacle seen on a brief but much needed stroll along the lanes  :-)

Thank you for all your good wishes regarding MiL, who seems to be confounding medical opinion by making a small improvement ( she wasn't expected to last the night)......whilst still being extremely poorly she is at least stable now :-)
