Day 2 - Tracey

Tracey S Rosenberg's story is called 'Adverse Effect', and it features a very strange addiction indeed. You can read it in full here. This photo was taken by Chris Yocum, Tracey's husband. We're grateful to him for letting us share it here.

We fired Tracey some quick questions, and here are her responses...

Tell us your top 3 favourite books in the world
Charlotte Bronte, Villette
Pamela Frankau, The Willow Cabin
Eleanor Brown, Maiden Speech

Where's your favourite place to read?
On the sofa beside my husband, with the cat sitting on one or both of us.

What do you think the future holds for the novel?
Something interactive, involving lasers.

If you had to describe Story Shop in just 5 words, what would they be?
The pinnacle of my career!

Our annual Story Shop showcase presents new and emerging Edinburgh writers to audiences at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Every day of the festival, that's 17 in total, at 4pm in the Guardian Spiegeltent, a writer reads a story of compact beauty, for free. Story Shop is now in its fifth year, and we've got a stellar line up for each day of the festival 2012. Read all about them here and join us at 4pm each day until 27th August if you can!
