The post-Marmite era

I went to Iceland today to panic-buy some Marmite. Sadly, it was too late and the shelf space was empty. Other notable gaps were opening up. If I liked Ambrosia creamed rice, I would be worried.

PS Those good friends of mine on Facebook have explained that the reason why the Marmite shelf was empty was that the Iceland was running a free Marmite promotion via the Daily Mail newspaper! If only I'd bought the Mail and got there earlier ;)

Damn those Brexiteers! And damn Unilever for upping the price of a British-made product.
