US Marines Memorial

Another cloudy start, but at least it was dry.
We took the metro out to Arlington Cemetery, which was really interesting.
We saw the eternal flame for JFK, Audie Murphy's grave and even some civil war graves. The stark white gravestones stretching around you as far as the eye can see is a sobering sight.
Not far away from Arlington is the US Marines memorial..the Iwo Jima statue. It was great to see up close.
We walked back into DC and by the afternoon the sun had really broke through. We took a cab to Georgetown and had a nice meal.

In the evening we found a great rooftop bar a block away from the Whitehouse....see extra. Pricey, but worth it for a cocktail and the views.
