Right of Passage

So Finlay randomly started talking about Star Wars this morning; unprovoked as well. He's seen some of the cartoon version before and has some toys but he's never been that interested. It was strange then that he seemed genuinely excited by the fact that I've got the complete box set on Bluray. I promised him that he could watch a bit when he got in from nursery thinking that he'd forget all about it over the course of the day. He didn't though and it was the first thing he said to me when I got in; I didn't even get my coat off.

It seems like a right of passage; a boy watching his first Star Wars film. Even though two and a half is perhaps a little young, he seemed to enjoy it and was delighted at seeing Darth Vader in all his dark glory. He even went to sleep clutching his little Vader figure.

He's definitely growing up fast.
