Today I tried my best to shorten and hem a pair of curtains, but didn't really know what I was doing. I worked on it for a bit but when Mags arrived home from work I was in a bit of a pickle, with squinty eyes and bloodstained fingertips.

Luckily, all mothers seem to have an inbuilt knowledge of these things, so Mags took up the curtains and quickly showed me the right way to go about it. I snapped a quick photo while she deftly folded and pinned the fabric. So much knowledge.
