Smokeshack

Good day again. V buzzing as she really liked the degree course. Discussed how we don't always fully appreciate stuff in life unless you've experienced the alternative... (BTEC experience helps her really appreciate this; always bringing work home for 22 years helps me deal with the impending long hours on the road as a wine sales rep...).
Met Bex after school, took her shopping in Grimsby, went for dinner at The Smokeshack, where we were served by a lovely and stunning waitress (;D). Bex liked her burger and skin-on fries, I liked my Jacob's Ladder beef rib...
Bex was generally great company, chill and funny. She seems to really enjoy V's company too, which is great, when it could have been very awkward. She's looking forward to a weekend of nothing (no camp, no orchestra, no visitors...). I think this has been her best half term for years, so pleased things are going well for her now after a tough time.
