The King of Thailand

If I had been told, a few years ago, that the death of the King of Thailand would effect me, I would have been very surprised.

But now I have a Thai sister in law and, as a result, I have Thai friends. They are distraught! The King was loved very much. Now follows a year of mourning and any celebration is cancelled for the next 30 days.

Chama is tearful and homesick and misses her Dad. My sisters and I are very concerned for her. I'd love her to get on a plane and go home for a couple of weeks but not sure how practical that would be.  

Chama will be getting a huge hug later.
