Survivors!

I spent the morning doing photography for the BCLM - sadly my age and health mean I'm more of a hindrance than a help, so I've decided this will be the last such session.

This photograph is of one of the items in the Kenrick Collection at the museum. These saucepans were in a warehouse (in Norwich?) when it was hit by a bomb in 1942. As you can see, there was shrapnel damage, but they were so well-made that they survived extraordinarily well, even if it is doubtful whether they could be used as saucepans any longer!
