Acanthus

I have this large acanthus 'bush' on my driveway. The flower stems are very prickly. A few weeks ago Mr CG asked me to cut them down because they were in the way and of course my reply was 'Not yet. I want to blip the autumn foliage'
There may be a few more blips of it before I have to give in to reason :)
