Caltagirone

My trip is actually called "Secret Sicily" and today we were in the agricultural area far into the rugged south.

We started with the amazing mountaintop city of Chiaramonte Gulfi, with lots of little museums, amazing views and NO tourists.

On to a private olive oil estate for a splendid buffet of local delicacies. Delicious.

Next came Caltagirone, with the amazing staircase with ceramic tiles on every one of the 180 steps. I did climb to the top and my blip tries to capture the very special view - and the experience.
