Cool Music

After brunch at The Local this morning, we went shopping at the Food Co-op. The parking lot was full -- we thought it was probably because of the storm forecast, but it happened to be Customer Appreciation Day. There were lots of food samples, and live music by a duo perched on top of one of the fridges.

I've always enjoyed the food and beer selection at The Local, but avoided going there at busy times because of the bad acoustics. I was very pleased to see that the owners have installed sound-absorbing panels on the walls, and fabric drapes on the ceiling, to reduce the echoes which make conversation very difficult for people with hearing aids.
