Heading between Cineworld and Broadway, the last glow of the day is captured on black glass of the Gatehaus at the edge of Bradford's Little Germany.

Once seen as an award-winning flagship development the building has suffered from poor maintenance and plummeting property values but may home to join the resurgence of this corner of the city.

8yo, 12yo & I been to see Storks, which was almost a bundle of joy; dined at Frankie and Benny's, who do at least do a good Arrabiata; and shopped until dark. The City Park fountains provided a colourful diversion while we waited for the bus home.
