Apple scratting at the Fleece Bretforton

The cider and Ale weekend  was in full swing, with mummers, morris, singers and scratting going on - almost simultaneously.  The apples are not actually tipping themselves in to the 'scratter', (which pulverises the apples prior to pressing for cider) the operator was hiding at the time.  All the apples are donated and The Fleece then make their own cider from the apple juice, as well as an - apparently wonderful - beer/cider mix .
The extra is the activity of 'Pressing'  .
