Purrr-fect

For a perfect cat portrait:

1. Wait for a cat to settle in his warm snoozing place.

2. Sneak into the kitchen.

3. Turn around to see that the cat has followed you.

4. Lead the cat back to his warm snoozing place.

5. Repeat three to ten times.

6. At one point, sneakily hide a treat in your hand.

7. Trip over another cat who got interested in the kitchen going - ons and drop the treat.

8. Repeat three times until everyone gets a treat apart from the cat who is to be photographed.

9. Realise that the cat who is to be photographed has now retreated to a sulking place over the no treat situation.

10. Apologise.

11. Apologise again.

12. Wait.

13. Wait some more.

14. In the evening when the cat is back to his warm snoozing place, walk there with a treat in your hand, set the camera and capture...

15. ...a tail in flight as the cat remembers that he's in a sulk with you.

16. Trip over one to three other cats interested in the unwanted treat.

17. Drop the camera.

18. Spend a while fixing the camera.

19. Watch a swift cat war over a treat which ends with the treat being lost and three sulky cats walking away from you.

20. Take a deep breath and stop crying.

21. Walk back on tiptoes to the warm snoozing place with a warm snoozing cat, set the camera, hold up the treat, whisper the cat's name... success!

I hope you appreciate the result...
