The old dressing table was taken apart (with a hammer, being the best tool for the job) to be recycled on the way to get a replacement. Ikea on a Sunday afternoon is a special place where only the brave and / or foolish can find succour. To be fair, the staff with whom we dealt were all excellent and we managed an escape, fully loaded in less than an hour.
