Wound up in Wexford

Kruger Park, day five, leopard and lion at last!

We tried to book an early morning drive for today, but it was fully booked.  So we did our own early start – leaving the camp almost as soon as the gates opened at 0600.  We drove the same road as yesterday.  We were fortunate to have the leopard pointed out to us, as he was only visible from one spot.  We watched him for some time, then went off to where there were reported to be cheetah – not found.  We returned back to camp for shower and breakfast.

Then at about 1200, after W’s sister had chatted to another tourist in reception, she returned to our rondavel to tell us where there were reported to be lion.  We drove there, and found an entire pride.  They had apparently killed a wildebeest, feasted well that morning, and were now resting.  I have so many photos I would like to blip for today, it was very difficult to choose just one.
