Looking Down on the Clouds Below

So many potential blips today but I decided to post this - one of many taken of a phenomenon I had not encountered before so clearly. We travelled by boat across a lake and could barely see in front of us - sadly contemplating a very disappointing visit to the 7000 foot peak of Mt Pilatus. However when we arrived at the base of Pilatus the cloud was left behind and we emerged into brilliant sunshine and blue skies. This was taken from half way up and shows the continuing thick cloud cover over the lake whilst we enjoyed the most stunning views from above! Extras posted to give examples!
