Day Out

Escaped to Edinburgh for the day!

Pizza with N at lunchtime. Good to catch up and have a few laughs (at my expense).

Ice hockey in the evening - Caps beat Coventry 4:1, so I came home happy.

In between I visited the Royal Botanic Garden for the first time. I must have gone past it hundreds of times without going in. The way the weather was just after lunch (very dark and cloudy) it was a safe bet. Plenty to see outside and in.

The sun came out mid afternoon, so I saw the outside parts quite happily.

The Temperate Palm House got Blipped. The thing in the foreground is a fossilised tree.

The extra is a scupture (The Girl) by Reg Butler which is on loan from the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
