Little Soldier in the Woods

What a wonderful Medterranean Autumnal day it was! Temps close to 20°C and bright sunshine ~ perfect conditions for another day outdoors, walking with others; and today that was South of Hilvarenbeek (where a Safari Park is, not for walkers ofcourse)... we walked across the border with Belgium over old paths that were used by smuglers from both sides of the border up till some 50 years ago.

Due to the draught there are few mushrooms around this year ~ this little red hooded one is like a pretty little soldier in the woods. In the extra I add one of from an  exploding Skleroderma Kitrino  and you can spot the spores dispersing!
