There's nothing there......

....but there was. The Goldfinches have been using the depression in the stone to drink from, standing on the fallen Beech leaves. The Garden Fairy cleaned the trays of water, got rid of all the detritus and the birds will not use them. Capricious?

The Blackbirds are immaculate, the Beech has lost leaves very early, the small birds are throwing heaps of food down their necks.....I wonder if this winter is going to be harsh? The birds are usually an indicator.
