Loch Linnhe

Saturday October 8th

Travelled north today from Campbeltown to Spean Bridge.
Super day for travelling.
The weather stayed dry and bright for the whole journey and the landscape was looking lovely in it's Autumn colours.
Our lunch stop was just north of Oban at Poppies.
Pressing on we passed through Benderloch then Appin then on to Lochaber.
Just into Lochaber we stopped by the side of Loch Linnhe at a large car park which has a long distance track which runs along the side of Loch Linnhe all the way to Fort William.
This gave us all a chance to stretch our legs and take in the lovely views across the loch towards the mountains beyond.
Next stop was Fort William and a chance to stock up with groceries before we drove the last few miles to Spean Bridge and our base for our holiday this week.
Our holiday lodge is set in a lovely little woodland setting and was a welcome sight after our day of driving :-)
