Prickly customers!

Today was a revelation. I am a recent full time 'glasses wearer', previously not a lover of hats and have found walking in the rain really annoying. I tried contact lenses but couldn't get on with them (mostly due to astigmatism and needing varifocals). However Molly the Collie's owner passed on a lovely waxed hat to me and I could see even a really heavy downpour!
Found a pocketful of sweet chestnuts glistening in the rain. Now, what to do with a handful of chestnuts other than to admire them?
