Rinkeli (2015)

Several traffic light intersections were recentlt turned into roundabouts in downtown Joensuu. At least three of these roundabouts featured artworks at the center (I've blipped the two others here and here). The artworks have had a bit controversial reception. This is the one I walk past most often. To be completely honest, when I first saw it, if it wasn't for the "pedestal" bits lifting the thing from the ground, I might've thought it was a bunch of cables left there waiting to be taken away (they were doing some cable work / other digging work at the site).
