St George's Church, Kotor

This morning we explored the city walls and fortress that dominate Kotor. After leaving kwdiane at the chapel at the halfway point I continued up to the fortress of St Ivan at the top.

On the way down I took a side route into a small valley where there was a geocache. It proved to be a gem of a location with the deserted St George's church and a path leading to the ladder of Cattaro which was the old route into central Montenegro.

It was a lovely, quiet spot and I wouldn't have thought of exploring the short path if it hadn't been for geocaching.
