Choices again

This is a bit of a saga and I won't bore you with all of it. A few weeks ago our 'box' that provides the hard drive for the television began grinding it's teeth and eventually pretty well refused to respond. B rang the company who said we would have to wait quite some time for a technician. When B pointed out the amount of our subscription a technician miraculously became free quite quickly. When he came he announced that he thought the dish was at fault ( despite B suggesting it was the box).
New dish duly installed; problem still there. He had no available box.
New technician could not attend for weeks - same reminder - same speedy service.
Today new technician came along and asked ' What seems to be wrong?' When B said it was the box he would check if he had one on his van! Who talks to who before sending out said technician?
Anyway new box installed so tonight I can watch and save whatever I wish
