Tales From The Riverbank, Before And After
We had a lovely walk along the river at Arundel later this afternoon. The ducks were still busy playing but these two swans were too busy preening and getting ready for bed to even notice us clicking away.
We walked to Swanbourne Lake and sat for a while, it was so quiet with no tourists or children. Half term next week will change all that again and the seagulls, ducks and coots will all be fighting again for any scraps of food that might get thrown their way.
On our return walk, the sun was getting lower and the ducks were all swimming back up the river, ready to roost for the night. The swans had finished their preparations for bed and were in a deep sleep on the river bank.
Time for us to go home and get some dinner and relax for the evening too.
