Everyday's a cake day

Today started with a collective, "oh feck" moment, when we realised we had forgotten that it was the birthday of The Boss, and in our team, everybody's birthday gets celebrated.

Cue much swinging into action including procurement of cake and card, retrieval of Boss from important meetings on spurious grounds, surreptitious lighting of cabdles in cupboard, spouting of nonsense to distract boss until crucial moment, finished off by collapsing of team in hysteria as presentation of cake finally took place.
