Feeling my age
And seeing that this is a detail of a Southern Old Lady Moth, it fits the brief.
When I first saw her, I thought she was dead - but although a bit tattered she managed to wave a leg at me, as if to say "just leave me alone why don't you". She was on the doorstep leading to the deck, so when I was through I ushered her outside, and a few moments later when I checked she was gone.
Because she was so tattered, I thought this detail of her lovely wing would be best. There's a head shot in extras.
Dasypodia selenophora for those that are interested.
