DIY #7

After two weeks of preparation when Mary couldn't see a great deal of progress for all the effort, suddenly it is time to slap on some paint, apply the wallpaper and......carpets arrived today!  This was the living room when Mary first picked up the keys, quite a shock to the system in its run down, grubby state, then friends David and Jane removed the paint covered wallpaper and the plaster came away with it so this was living room stage 2.  Thankfully their son-in-law Paul came to the rescue and re-plastered the walls.  

Mary took today off work and was taken aback by the transformation.  Whilst Tony and I painted ahead of the removal tomorrow she enjoyed hoovering her new carpets.
