Tea with added Krust

Apple Charlotte

I was gifted some cooking apples this week and decided I would make Apple Charlotte.  I was going by my memory of the dish and as it turned out,  my memory was very faulty!  I remember a meringue covering apple purée,  but when I looked up a recipe by name,  this turned out to be pureed apple inside, more or less,  bits of toast soaked in butter.

ALSO it turned out there was far too much sweetness in the whole thing.  Very disappointed.  Also disappointed because I can't remember what the meringue thing is called!

**Back blipped from a time when all the apples are gone.
