Dancer

A job photographing the Dabke Fusion bellydancing showcase at Assembly Roxy. An excellent show that sadly didn't get the full house it certainly deserved - some issues with the publicity work done (or rather not done) by the venue I think. A victim of the obsession with the Festival perhaps - do more local events at other times of year miss out and don't get the same level of attention as the things that go on in those three weeks in August? Spoilt for choice for a blip with so many colourful costumes and dramatic performances. As usual it was clear how much more there is to bellydancing than the common stereotype of what is involved.
