Some great Saturday sun cast its surging rays down onto Grimsby Town as we waddled out to a great huge park and indulged in a good old fashioned family reunion. Dan's AMAZING Grandpop is about to turn a whooping 90 - so part #1 of the celebrations formed a family round-up of rascal-heavy rounders. The whole game stopped for a stand still moment, as 90-year-old-Grandpop launched in a full horizontal stretch for a wildly hit ball. A unanimous intake of petrified air was gasped around the field as the whole family froze for a horrified moment as we watched him dive through the air and land on the hard ground. But with un-quivering grace and panache, he continued to leap into a lavishly flamboyant roll and regain his upright stance within one composed movement. A chorus of relief reintroduced itself to the comically competitive game, and the wild batsman soon realised that the ball hadn't been caught and continued legging it round the assault course of strewn jumpers and shoes to arrive at a sweet victory - getting one over your family - yeah!
