Granton Harbour by Night

As I was in Edinburgh to go to the Wednesday night lecture at the Photography Society I thought I would pop down to Granton harbour to take some night shots. These are, of course, long exposures and by the nature of things the boats are gently bobbing up and down so the end result is a bit blurry and impressionistic. However the coloured illuminations at the far end of the harbour added greatly to the shot. and the water has been nicely smoothed out by the long exposure. I should maybe have taken one shot on high ISO to see if I could get a sharp picture of the red yacht and superimposed this on to the shot but I thought of that as I was heading home much later that night.
