Fun with Sammy and Georgia

Dear Diary,

We had a great time with the art lesson and the children, just 3 and 4, did a wonderful job.  It felt good to be teaching again.  They adore Philomena, my chipmunk puppet, and loved the idea of her "secret" world beneath the ground.  I had forgotten the joy I get from watching little eyes light up!

We are off to the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston this morning.  Amazingly, I have never been...high time I would say.  Karen's father was with the state police and he was there, in Hyannisport, the night in 1960 when Kennedy was elected so this will be a nostalgic day for both of us.
