Bits and pieces

Slow day today.  Tried buying vents for the engine room but what a rip off.  I need five and they're about £4 each plus VAT plus P&P.  The first site had increased their prices by 70p each - cost of Brexit.  Crafty greedy buggers.  They've probably been in stock for years.  I've boycotted a shop up here because I know they have the same stock that they had in 2014 - it's specialist gear.  They've repriced their shelf prices from £3.10 to £4.80 in two years on the same items!  I thought it was illegal to price shift like this.  I pointed it out and he said he'd do a deal but I politely told him he'd missed his chance and I bought my £100 worth off Hattons in Liverpool - by internet.  

Decided to try and make my own vents, can't be so difficult and I have all the materials.  The pics shows the new parts added over the last 2 days.  As always, they aren't painted, sanded or fitted yet, it's all loose laid until I'm sure that's where they go!

The high speed rib crane was fun to make and it actually spins as on the real thing.  I had a rib model but my Ozzie Grandson had designs on it for his model diorama so now it's in Sydney.  I can build one but if I find one it'll only be about £9 and theres a trailer and Land Rover for that too.
