Straight Out of Camera

I almost never blip a SOOC photo, as I enjoy playing with the minimal fine-tuning that iPhoto provides, and I try to avoid blipping the same subject twice in a row.

Today is an exception. I've taken photos off and on all day, mostly of our ubiquitous birds, and a few out in the front yard in late afternoon, but this single shot deeply appeals to me. I'd turned from the windows overlooking the deck and something about the light on the poppy seed pods, one of Phil's lovely little boxes, and the live edge coffee table he made, just resonated with me.

I'll try to come up with something other than birds or poppy seed heads soon!
