Le Dehus Dolmen

Today I blipped the interior of Le Dehus Dolmen in the North of the island. This prehistoric complex is large, about ten metres in length with small side chambers either side of the main chamber. One of the capstones has a carving which shows a bearded face, arms, hands a bow and arrows plus various symbols. It is thought this would originally have been a standing stone, then reused as a capstone. There are many finds dating from between 3500 and 2000 BC from when the tomb was excavated first in 1837 and again in 1932.
