50 years ago

50 years ago today in Aberfan Wales 116 children and 28 adults were killed in a coal mine landslide. The following day I was born! My mother always says it was the shock of this news that sent her into labour.

Tomorrow I will be celebrating, many families won't be! I'm not a fan of OTT health and safety but many things have improved.

211 years ago today the battle of trafalgar occurred, thankfully my mother didn't name me Horatio.
