Impressive
This imposing Victorian Building was the HQ of Samuel Fox who manufactured umbrellas, though it was only the wire ribs that were actually manufactured on this site - see link for a little more of the company's history. The building now houses offices for Tata Steel, which have manufactured specialist steel on the site. The rest of the site, which used to be where steel rods were stored, is now a new retail park. We were in Stocksbridge to pick up two prints from the framers, but the shopping centre has a really nice group of market stalls where you can buy cheese, home baking and fruit and veg.
I've been putting mats on photos this afternoon. I think I'm getting there!
