Everlasting - Paper Daisy
Native to Australia as well as many other countries I always fall for these as their structure is so perfect. Around our village we only have yellow Everlasting, but today I spent a couple of hours at Shepparton's Native Australian Botanic Garden with a group of photographers and a macro specialist. However, it was freezing cold and blowing a gale so none of us had a lot of luck, although I did get a hoverfly on a milk thistle that shouldn't have been there! So, I confess, I removed this gorgeous specimen from a mass planted bed - a fabulous sight- and brought it home to pop in my handy light box. The colour is really stunning. I have cropped a little and sharpened a little, but that's all.
