Princesses in waiting...

Today was a memorable one for several reasons. It was the homecoming game day for our town. Since our granddaughter is one of the princesses, the whole event has taken on new importance. There was a parade in the afternoon, where the high school kids paraded past the elementary and grade school kids (Aspen and her escort are in the extra).
The football game in the evening barely got started, when all of a sudden the power went out. And not just on the field, but in most of the town. After some uncertain minutes, the news came that a car had hit a power
pole, somehow affecting a transformer, and a quick fix was not going to happen. Eventually the game and the princess festivities were postponed until tomorrow. 
In the main blip the lights are still on, soon after this shot we were in pitch darkness. To be continued...
