Curlew Sandpiper

After all the travelling,  it was quite a relief to wake up in one's own bed and know that is here one will be for a few weeks. As ever, we couldn't find anything for most of the day and eventually I was driven out of the house for a short stroll on Baleshare.
This Curlew Sandpiper was just about the first bird I looked at. Whilst not rare always a good bird to see although this does not do it justice!
