Busstop

Designated bus stops can only be found along the main bus route from the centre of Stornoway. Everywhere else in Lewis, if you wish to join a bus, you raise your arm to signal the driver, who will stop wherever you wish - as long as you position yourself in a place where it's safe for him to stop. Same for alighting. Route numbers W1 (Ness), W2 (West Side), W3 (Great Bernera), W4 (Uig), W5 (Point and Back), W6 (Newmarket), W7 (Town Circular), W8 (North Lochs), W9 (South Lochs) and W10 (Harris). Route numbers W11 through W15 operate from Tarbert, Harris.
