Exit Meeting

Meetings can be boring. Especially when they are long, uninteresting and so full of chatter. Especially when everyone's rushing to get back to their marking. Especially when they drag on so long that they wreck everyone's plans of getting back to their marking. At the end of these meetings, everyone's just so glad to be released that they rush out of the meeting room and dash off to their cars, just in case the chairperson wants to bring up some matter or other.

Went to a Chinese restaurant for cousin Roy's birthday dinner after yoga, all sticky and sweaty. Then to his house for the chocolate cake his wife baked. Apparently the expensive baking books I'd given as Christmas presents had been a failure: they had all turned out not sweet enough. I'll hedge my bets on the books. ;)

Played endless rounds of charades with the kids till 1am. Or was that 2? They used this iPhone app that would present the things to act out. Very quickly acting became describing. We ran out of categories and had to give Bible characters and events a go. This atheist boy was led crook, rod and staff through every valley leaving the believers far behind. Mum, today your son made you proud.
