The finished hanging shelf with the up-cycled paper towel holder. I really like it, if I may say so myself. I did the work, but two people gave me inspiration and input, so I can definitely not take all the credit.  I also finished the ladder shelf (in extra), which did not turn out as nice as I expected, but it will hopefully do the job of holding our guests' clothes. 
We even managed to offload all the wood chips from the trailer. It was not enough for our back garden, so next week we must get another load.
