A day of ups and downs.

Yes the picture is right. By lunchtime today we had a radiator in the dinning room but by five o'clock I had decided it was two high and needed to be moved. Stu had already had to chisel four sections of plaster away and fit blocks of wood to support the weight so moving it meant cutting away another four sections or plaster, cutting more wooden supports, Fern moving and adding pipes and me patching the plaster. When the plaster is dried we can re paint the wall and then Fern can re hang the radiator. I dont think Stu was impressed, but I'm so glad we are moving it as it would have drove me mad. Despite this little set back and two separate leaks (we now have a patchy kitchen ceiling) by the end of today we had hot water and working radiators. We have also started laying out the cupboards for the kitchen.
We were supposed to be going out tonight so I left at about 8.30 to get ready, but unfortunately Stu had to stay until Fern left. This turned out to be almost ten o'clock which was too late to go so I'm currently sat in my pj's with a full face of makeup.
