Shocking

First day back at school. Wasn't all that bad after the shock of the alarm and not being able to hit the snooze button. Complimentary bacon butty and coffee on arrival helped too.

A mighty old thunder and lightning storm passed over at lunchtime from the east (nothing portentous about that on our first day back, oh no, not at all) right over the top of the Wallace Monument in the middle distance there. Oor Trev was filming at the time and managed to catch a couple of cracking lightning strikes on the Abbey Craig, including one that looked like a direct hit on the monument itself. Unfortunately, in all his storm chasing enthusiasm he got a wee bit too close to the third strike.

Had a strange urge to have a barbecue for some reason tonight.
