Golden

In Edinburgh today and finally got the chance to walk past one of the gold post boxes, painted in honour of Olympic gold medalists in their home towns.

In this case of course, Sir Chris Hoy.

Let me tell you, it was difficult to get a photo without a crowd in it. I just loved the way everyone, kids especially, wanted to touch it, post things and have their picture taken. There was huge excitement when the postie came to empty it, much to his amusement.

I stood and chatted to some lovely folk and shared our Olympic cheer. Some were even doing a bit of a post box tour, having been to Dunblane and then heading to London to 'bag' a few there.

I could see myself doing the same :-)
